The new CLIP showroom is open for business.

The new CLIP showroom is open for business. Positioned just outside the perimeter of the the prison, it's packed with items that have either been grown or manufactured by prisoners and are available for purchase to the island community.

The range of items from the carpentry workshop includes beautifully crafted outdoor furniture,  planters and bird boxes. And from the prison kitchen you'll find tasty jars of jams, dips, chutneys and sauces. There are a host of other novelty items ready for purchase.

This is a huge step in the life of CLIP as it generates income from goods sold. It will enable the charity to extend its educational programme in prison that works towards equipping prisoners to cope more comfortably when returning to the community on release. Towards the end of 2017, the charity raised in excess of £100,000 to build a multifunctional workshop within the prison. This will further increase opportunities to generate products that can be sold in the island community and once again increase the work of CLIP.

Pop down to St Sampson's and take a look at the raft of quality items for sale.
